Cy Austin, of Tilton, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, August 9, 2016 with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sherri Austin, his children, Cy A. Austin (Angie Cross), Richard (Laura) Austin, Alasa Austin and James Grimes; grandchildren, Tyler Shaffer, Sydney Austin, Samantha Austin, Devin Austin, and Dylan Austin; his mother, Delcena Austin, sisters, Donna Morse and Janice (Myreon) Reitsma. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Austin. Cy enjoyed fishing with his family, riding his Harley with his family and close friends and most of all, loved driving his semi alongside his sons for Austin Trucking.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Southside Church of Christ with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Our hearts go out to you during this time. I only knew Cy thru work, and found him to be a great co-worker. He is greatly missed.

Sherri and family I am so sorry for your loss. My heart aches for you all. I have a lot of good memories of him mowing and us talking in the alley lol oh wow sure going to miss that as well. Keep all thoses memories close to your heart and you will have him always. I am here any time ok girl An ear to listen A hand to hold A heart to share A friend who cares. Dont hesitate to call. Youre in my thoughts every step of the way hugsssssssssssssssss

Delcena and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I went to school with Cy; such a wonderful person. And of course, I worked with Delcena at Danville Township. My prayers go out to your family.
