Kaye lost her multi-year battle with colon cancer on February 27, 2019. Kaye was born June 19, 1943 to parents Stanley and Effie Cannon. She was raised in State Line, Indiana, the youngest of 11 children. She graduated from Seeger High School. Kaye married William D. Boyer Jr. on July 4, 1976 and moved to Indianola, Illinois. Kaye was proceeded in death by her parents, 6 sisters, 2 brothers, and infant son. She is survived by her husband William Boyer, 2 sisters, Violet Faulkenberg of Danville, IL. and Marjorie Arney of Shreveport, LA., 1 son, Tim of Northern Indiana, 3 grandsons, Shawn and Seth both of Northern Indiana and Joshua of Georgia, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Besides being a wonderful wife and mother, Kaye also worked outside the home. Kaye worked at K-Mart, General Electric, Aerosol Techniques Inc., Chuckles, and the Vermilion County Clerks office. Kaye retired from the clerk’s office after 20 years of service in 2011. Kaye served the people of Carroll Twp. for nearly 30 years as Twp. Supervisor and Twp. Trustee. Kaye also served as Treasurer of the Carroll Twp. Fire Protection District for the last 5 years. Kaye will be missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. A celebration of life will be at a later date.

Kay was a great lady and a wonderful person. The world was better with her in it.
