So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I worked with him many years at St.E and Provena. I remember him as a teenager when he started to work. He has left us too soon, God must have needed him for another task in heaven . May memories of past memories provide solace to his family.
I'm sorry that I cannot pay my last respects to him as I will be out of town. Sending prayers to Darin.

Bill was a classmate of mine and Danville High School. I enjoyed seeing him at the 50th reunion. My heartfelt sympathy to Bill's family and friends.

My greatest memory of Bill Alpers was being in a musicial play with him when I wa a kid. It was Sir Oliver's Song and I was the male lead while Bill was Sir Oliver. It was a major undertaking two or three months in the making and we putn our all into it. It was a huge success and I and the female lead Angel Stevens shared the best performance award. Sadly, Angel is now in Heaven as well. She succombed to cancer two or three years ago. I am now the only one left from that trio that took part in that play in 1979/80. Amazing and a humbling thought but gives me solace to know that i'll one day be right there with them!
