James Kenneth (Kenny) Wombles, 74, of Danville, passed away, Friday, April 12, 2019 at his home.

He was born February 1, 1945, in Danville to Ralph E. Wombles Sr. and Mary D (Walker) Wombles. He is a proud U. S. Army Veteran and worked at Heatcraft for 42 years making many dear friends.

Kenny is survived by a two daughters Kandy (Marc) Robinson and Kristy (Brian) Johnson: six grandchildren James, Jerri Ann, Gordon, Shelbi, Kevin and Zachariah: along with 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Betty Bennett Wombles of Westville; and brother Rick Wombles of Paris: his very special nephews and niece: Ralph Wombles III, Steven and Janet Wombles, Brian Wombles, Brad Wombles and Jean Trees, Mike and Stacey Wombles, Rebecca and Mike Akins.

Kenny loved spending time with his family and friends. He grew up in Rabbit Town area of Danville causing trouble and making forever memories with neighborhood brothers. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing on his wild boating trips and riding his Harley with his many biker family members.

My father never let anyone down. He fulfilled every obligation he ever undertook. His word was his bond, and everyone knew it. He was a man of honor and integrity. He would give someone his last dollar if they needed it. He was a friend to many and considered family by most.

Dad: Your love, your patience, your understanding, your wisdom and your amazing sense of humor will live on inside us forever. You have given us gifts that are more precious than anything in this world. Goodbye, Dad. I Love You, Kristy.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  Rortvedt Funeral Services & Crematory in Tilton is assisting the family.  Online condolences @ www.rortvedtfuneralservices.com

Sorry for your loss. Have many good memories of Kenny. He helped move my son to go to Southern for school. We have drank many a cup of coffee and laughed a lot. I even have some wiring in my home that he did. He was always willing to help someone. He was a good man. I loved to hear him laugh. He will be missed by many.
