Robert Eugene DeLahr, 65, passed away on July 15, 2019.  His final days were spent in his home in Hoopeston IL, surrounded by loved ones.

At his request, no service will be held.

He is survived by his mother, Lola (Alcorn) Arnold; step father, Merle Arnold; brother, David DeLahr; sister, Denise Santoyo; son, Matthew DeLahr; son and his spouse, Jeremy and Brandie DeLahr; and three grandchildren, Dawson, Faith, and Logan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Frederick DeLahr.

Robert Eugene DeLahr was born December 15, 1953, in Watseka, Illinois, to Robert Frederick DeLahr and Lola (Alcorn) DeLahr.

He attended Crescent City High School in Crescent City, IL.  He continued his education at Kankakee Community College and Danville Area Community College.  He was a certified welder and medical coder.

Robert believed in hard work and determination.  He could do anything that he put his mind to.  Robert worked in foundries, machine shops, grain elevators, factories, and on farms.  He had a passion for nature, woodworking, farming, and watching football with his sons.  He was a very talented artist and wood carver.

Robert had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.  He was honest, strong willed, reserved, and modest; he touched the hearts of his family and friends.  Robert made many sacrifices to better the lives of his children, he always put his family first.
