Andrew Strain Obituary

Andrew Michael Strain, more commonly known as “Buddha”, left this earth to be reunited with his Mother in the early morning hours of Monday April 20th, 2020. He was born on January 26th, 1989 to Paul and Rebecca (Becky) Strain. He attended Edison Elementary School, North Ridge Middle School, and Danville High School, where he was enrolled in the WECEP program and worked at Schroeders’ Restaurant, before obtaining his GED at 16. He continued to work at Schroeders until moving on to Bryant Industries.

Andrew had a massive heart, and, brought joy to the lives of many. Regardless of your walk in life, Andrew made it his mission to make you feel welcome and to make you laugh. Though he didn’t get to go as much as he would have liked to, Andrew enjoyed fishing with friends and family. He loved to spend time with friends and family sitting and talking, playing games, watching movies, and “just hanging out”. Being an Uncle was one of the most joyous activities that Andrew participated in, and he always made time for his nieces, Maddison and Aria.

The term “If I aint sleepin’, I’m workin’” took on a whole new meaning with Andrew. He would bust his back from the time his eyes opened until the time they shut. He was never afraid of a hard days’ work or of helping someone out with a tough job. He was most proud when working at Bryant Industries and making a life for himself.

Andrew never knew a stranger. He lived his life to the fullest every day, smiling and waving at everyone and making those around him laugh with his goofy antics. He enjoyed life and the people in it. Many remember him as smiling, laughing, and excited to be around people he loved, especially at the holidays.

Andrew was preceded in death by his Mother Rebecca (Becky) Strain, his Grandparents Ernest and Linda Strain, Barbara Strain, and Richard Hunt Sr, and the love of his life Lakwana Williams. He leaves behind his father Paul (Lisa) Strain, Grandmother Shirley Hunt, brothers Jacob Strain, Thomas Strain, Jeremiah Strain, Ronald Miles, Adam Bouslog, and Stephen Strain, his sister Abigail Strain, his Aunts and Uncles Mary (Scott) Cheuvront, Dora (Alvin) Johnson, Christy (Mike) Orr, Richard C Hunt Jr, Jim Proctor, Lisa (JJ) Coffey,  cousins Tabitha Proctor, Adam Proctor, Jonny Martin, Aaron Martin, Nicole Greenburg, Ashley (Tim) Whicker, Samantha Orr, Jessica Cheuvront, Alyssa Cheuvront, Jenna Orr, Sebastian Orr, Nieces Maddison Strain, Aria Strain, Delilah Whicker, Zelda Burmeister and Nephew Axle Whicker, his best friend and first love Rachel Hawkins-Ferrante, and more friends and family than could ever be realized.

A private burial will be held, and a Public Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
