Brian Emerson Gibboney

Brian Emerson Gibboney "GrandDaddy", born September 20th, 1960 in Piqua, Ohio, the youngest son of the late Malcolm Kay Gibboney and the late Alice Juanita Harman Gibboney, died suddenly on October 19th, 2024 in Champaign, Illinois, aged 64 years.

Brian graduated as valedictorian of Bradford High School, Ohio in 1979. He worked on the family's dairy farm in Darke County, Ohio, at Quality Forms in Piqua, Ohio, and at Premier Print Group in Champaign, Illinois. He was a lifelong woodworker and jack of all trades. Spending time with his grandchildren was his favorite pastime. Family meant everything to him.

Surviving family includes his wife of 41 years, Lois Jean VanScoyk Gibboney, his only daughter Amanda Jo Gibboney Nichols, son-in-law Nathan Tyler Nichols, beloved grandson Erik Orion Nichols, beloved granddaughter Miriam Eve Nichols, oldest brother Scott Gibboney & wife Karen, their children & grandchildren, brother Steven Gibboney, sister Marcia Gibboney Smith & husband Joe, their children & grandchildren, and multiple cousins.

Brian will be remembered fondly by all who knew and loved him. His physical remains were cremated by Rortvedt Funeral Services & Crematory.
