Carl A. "Pete" Fleming passed this life at 5:15 P.M. Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Waters of Covington, Indiana.

He was born July 5, 1935 in Covington, Indiana. He is the son of Arthur and Nellie (Auterburn) Fleming.

Surviving family include his son, Scott A. (Brenda) Fleming; his daughters Kim Fleming and Carla (Jerry) Hegler; his grandchildren, Josh (Heather) Fleming, Jake (Nikki) Fleming, Christopher (Annemarie) Hegler, Zachary Hegler; great grandchildren, Taitum, Jarron, Kade, Jade, Ayla, Bennett, Edith "Edie", Rey and Chirstopher; sister, Rosemary Klage; nieces, Barbara Macy and Nancy (Herb) King. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and husband, Fran and Burt Matthews; brother in law, Richard Klage; nephew by marriage, Jack Macy; granddaughter, Bailey Hegler.

Pete attended and graduated from Covington Schools and was in the Naval Reserve. He worked for Indiana and Illinois Bell, Danville Parks Dept, Danville Recreation Director and later owning his own business, Pete Fleming Trucking and Excavating, then retiring. He was one of the Vermilion County top High School Officials. He enjoyed fishing, sports and Fox News. He was a Bobby Knight fan; Go Hoosiers. He liked redheads and his Irish Setter, Shawn.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. E.S.T. Friday, January 6, 2023 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington with Pastor Bob Fairchild officiating.

A celebration of life service will be at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T. Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Catlin Community Center 109 S. Sandusky, Catlin, IL 61817.
