Charity Mae (Peevler) Wilson, 74, passed away peacefully at 5:13 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025 at home with family by her side. She was born on January 25, 1951 in Danville, Illinois, to Mark Edward Peevler and Ima Jean (Hansbrough) Peevler. Charity was married to William P. (Bill) Wilson Sr. on May 16 th , 1981, in Danville, and he survives, along with children, Patricia Jean (Parks) Pope (Jeff), William P. Wilson Jr. (Amanda), LaShay Lee (Wilson) Foyer (Ray), several grandchildren and great grandchildren, her brother, Mark Edward Peevler Jr., in-laws, nieces, nephews, in addition to a host of friends.
She began her nursing career in 1979, after graduating from Lakeview College of Nursing. Charity worked for several years at Polyclinic Family Practice, Danville, IL, and later at Carle Clinic, Danville, IL. Charity was well known for her very caring nursing manner, providing true TLC to all of her patients. In her retirement, she and Bill enjoyed music, karaoke, country dancing, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and her many, faithful pets she had over the years. She truly loved all animals. Her most recent pet, Snickers, was at her side during her last days.
Loved by all who knew her, she will be missed.
