Charles Wesley “Charlie” Dart, aged 63, passed away August 6, 2025, at Paris Health & Rehab in Paris, IL. Charlie was born September 8, 1961, in Champaign, IL to Dr. Gerald and Eulalee (Warters) Dart.
He graduated from PHS, went on to attend Indiana State University, and graduated, with honors, from Lincoln Trail College with an associate’s degree. Charlie lived in Illinois, and Dallas, TX, and he lived a brief stint in San Diego while serving in the U.S. Navy. After leaving the Navy he drove semi-trucks and eventually worked in manufacturing. He was a quiet individual with a great sense of humor. Charlie enjoyed music, played the drums, and was a great golfer, but loved all sports.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Eulalee Dart, and brother, Gary Dart.
He is survived by his son, Scott King of Otway, Ohio; granddaughters, Ava and Lisa King; three surviving sisters, Karen Crome, of Plano, Texas, Jan Roberge of Denver, Colorado, and Lori (Mike) Parker of Peoria, Arizona; and several nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Rortvedt Funeral Services 3 S. Hodge St. Tilton, Illinois with Pastor Kurt Flora officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at Rortvedt Funeral Services. Burial will be held at Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
