Charles Lewsader Obituary

Charles (Bud) E. Lewsader, 84, of Danville, Illinois, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Goldwater Nursing Home in Danville. Bud was born March 14, 1941, to Charles L and Betty J (Anderson) Lewsader in Perrysville, Indiana. He graduated from Perrysville High School in 1959. He served in the Navy before working at Penries Carpet, Olin Mathieson Chemical Corp, and Quaker Oats. In his spare time, he enjoyed coaching youth football and youth baseball, fishing, photography, and volunteering at the Middlefork Audubon Society.  Bud is survived by his sister Patricia Wisley (Indianapolis) and brother Richard Lewsader (Perrysville). He is also survived by his son Van Lewsader, who is married to Linda (Lenburg) of Cumming, Ga, and his son Michael Lewsader of Danville, IL. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Ashley Lewsader (Cumming, Ga) and Amanda Lewsader (Cumming, Ga), the children of Van and Linda Lewsader, and Andrew Lewsader (Paxton, IL), Jessie Clark (Urbana, IL), and Stephanie Lewsader (St. Joseph, IL), the children of Michael Lewsader. He also had 13 great-grandchildren. Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Charles (1919-1982) and Betty (1919-1997) Lewsader and a sister Judith Joan Lewsader (1933-1945). Charles (Bud) will be laid to rest privately in Lower Mound Cemetery at 15462 N Country Road 200 E, Covington, IN 47932. Rortvedt Funeral Services and Crematory is assisting the family.
