Charles Leon Teeters, 58, of Danville Illinois passed away on January 31,2025 in his home. He was born on March 5, 1966, in Danville, IL. He is the son of Lorin Leon and Marcella Teeters. He is survived by one daughter Lindsey (Arin) Chaparro, three sisters; Debra “Deb” Stout, Joanna “Jo” (Jimmy) Wells, and Lita Trimble. One granddaughter; Jade. Also, nieces and nephews; Michelle (Darrell) Lipp, Marci (John) Belton, Bradley Stevens, Joel “JoJo” (Kelly) Alvarez, Jessica Key, Kyle Wells, and A.J. (Elizabeth) Wells and many great nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his beloved mother (Marcella), his father (Leon), sister; Joyce Jumps, nephews; Robert Jolley, Jeremy Beasley, Antonio Alvarez and his special dog Kaniko.
Charlie, with all his adversity, had a big heart and was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. He loved to sing karaoke, especially duets with his mother. Charlie would stop whatever he was doing as soon as he saw you. He would give you a big hug and left you with the feeling of being “seen”. It would not have been a surprise to see him riding all over town on his bicycle with his dog Kaniko in his backpack sitting straight up. Charlie was a simple man; material objects had no meaning to him as his family and friends did. He was the fun uncle who spent a lot of time with his nieces and nephews. He was a huge part of their upbringing and will forever be in their hearts. Charlie was a friend to everyone and will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, Vermilion Valley Vineyard (V3). Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m. with service at 6p.m. Dinner will follow. Online condolences: www.rortvedtfuneralservices.com
