Cheryl Ilene (Rosnett) Campbell

Cheryl Ilene Campbell, 77, of Danville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 30, 2024.
She was born March 3, 1947 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruby (Osborn) Rosnett. She married David Hillard and to that union was born Ginger Bowling and Jason Hillard. Later, she met the love of her life, Jack Campbell, and they enjoyed 19 years of marriage before his passing in 2016.
Cheryl will be dearly missed by her surviving children Ginger (Glenn) Bowling and Jason (Corinda) Hillard as well as her niece Mary Stevens and step-children Vicki Campbell, Scott (Sandy) Campbell, and Jay (Tammie) Campbell along with several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents, sister and brother-in-law Betty and Steve Sidener, brother Kenneth (Peany) Rosnett, niece Sheryl Spears and her nephew-in-law Jim Stevens.
She attended school in the Fairmount and Danville areas and was glad to be in the graduating class of 1965 from Danville High School.  She later attended Danville Area Community College where she proudly earned two associates degrees while working full time and raising her two children and two nieces.
Cheryl worked at General Electric (later named Valmont Electric) for 25+ years, where she made many life long friends.  Later, she worked at Shicks Office Supply and lastly for the state of Illinois before retiring.
She enjoyed traveling with Jack. They rode their trike all over with many other friends who owned trikes.  Cheryl and Jack enjoyed hanging out at Henks Restaurant with many friends and family members along the years.
Cheryl attended South Side Church of Christ where she loved singing on Sunday mornings.  She was lead singer for many years. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to South Side Church of Christ in Cheryl's name.
Funeral services will be at South Side Church of Christ on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 with visitation at 4:00p.m. Pastor Dave Martin will be officiating. Funeral services will be at 5:00p.m.
