Dakota Christopher Williams

Dakota C. Williams, 20, of Champaign passed away October 1, 2021. He was born July 19, 2001 in Chicago, IL.

Dakota's greatest love was playing on the Challenger League baseball team. He enjoyed participating in the special olympics, singing and watching Spongebob. He was raised by his loving grandparents until the age of 10, where he then went to live at Swann Special Care Center in Champaign, IL.

He was survived by his great aunt, Diana Baker of Nashville, TN; great uncle and aunt, Bob and Mary Ellen Williams of Manteno, IL; his guardians, David and Monica McGinnis and their children, Katie and Patrick McGinnis.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 7:00 pm at the Christian Church of Manteno, 401 E. 3rd St., Manteno, IL.
