Dale Romoser Obituary

Dale Romoser, 91, of Ridgefarm IL, went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2021. 

He was born April 5,1930, to Lester and Velma Romoser in Marshall, IL.  Dale was married to Harriett for 65 years, He is survived by his children: Donna Moore of Ridge Farm, Gary Romoser (Diane) of Ridge Farm and Paul Romoser (Amy) of New Palestine IN and a sister, June Sollars.  He had 11 grandchildren: Ryan Haase (Heather) of Haviland KS, Eric Haase (Tisha) of Vermillion Grove, Brandy Peevler (Ed) of Perrysville IN, Jacob Romoser (Mandie) of Ridge Farm, Hannah Romoser of Chrisman, (Sue) Whitney Denton (Cody) of Chrisman, Zach Romoser (Beth) of Ridge Farm, Katie Phillabaum (Lee) of McCordsville, Alex Romoser of Fishers IN, Maddi Mulvane (Tommy) of St Joe, Danielle Romoser of New Palestine IN; great grandchildren: Seth (Ashley), Olivia, Lacey, Colton, Shelby, Conner, Bennett, Jolee, Zoey; and one great great grandchild: Alayna.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, son-in-law, Roger Moore, and his brother, Raymond Holler.    

He was a graduate of Scottland High School class of ‘1948’.   Dale was a long time member of the Friends Church in Ridgefarm, IL, where he served as Sunday School secretary for 24 years and in the church nursery for 23 years.  He also served on the Vermilion County Farm Bureau Board, Extension Counsel, Harrison School Board, 4H leader, Danville Area Community College Ag Board, and was President of the Scottland High School Alumni Association. He was a member of the Rural Married Group for 44 years.   One of his proudest honors was to be voted Vermilion County Outstanding Young Farmer.  Dale was known for his love for bologna, pinochle, and telling stories to his family.  

Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation at Ridge Farm Friends Church on June 15,2021, from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be immediately following at the Young America Cemetery in Hume.

Memorials can be made to Ridge Farm Friends Church.
