Dokey, Daryl Jay, age 68, of Danville Illinois, passed away Tuesday March 9, 2021 at OSF Medical Center in Danville.

  He graduated from DHS and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed time with his family and spending time with his friends at The Columbus Club.  Daryl was a meat cutter for many years of his life and he loved his line of work.  He also loved the Chicago Cubs Baseball team.

  Daryl married his sweetheart, Cheryl VanCamp, Aug 9, 1996.  They enjoyed spending time with friends at the KFC and watching Gameshow Network together.

  Daryl was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Margaret (Leirman) Dokey and one brother Gary Dokey.

  He is survived by his two stepchildren Nicole (Robert) Simons of Wisconsin and Angie (Scott) Galbreath of North Carolina, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, two nieces Cyndi (Donnie) Dazey and Beth (Casey) Smothers, one sister-in-law Janet Hastings, one brother-in-law Larry VanCamp and many cousins around the U.S.
