David Adkisson Obituary

David Lee Adkisson, 65, of Hillsdale, IN, formerly of Georgetown, passed away at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at VA Illiana Healthcare System, Danville, IL. He was born March 30, 1949 in Enola, AR a son of Donnie A. and Marvelle (Cox) Adkisson. He is survived by his mother, Marvelle Adkisson of Georgetown, his children, Vicki Adkisson of Danville, Jennifer Adkisson of Attica, IN and Farrell Adkisson of Georgetown, siblings, John Adkisson and Donnie Adkisson both of Georgetown, Sherry Skaggs of McAllister, OK and Judith Hill of Hillsdale, IN, grandchildren, Paige Milewski, Travis Decker, Carisa Marshall and Mason Marshall and a great-grandson, Brylan Decker. He was preceded in death by his father. David worked at A.E.T. Plastic and Films in Terre Haute. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of Georgetown American Legion. He enjoyed playing Euchre, camping, fishing, watching The Cubs and The Bears and loved spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 30 at the VA Protestant Chapel with Chaplain Tom Mills officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery with Military Honors by Georgetown American Legion and The Patriot Guard. Visitation will be from12:30 to 1:30 Tuesday at the VA Protestant Chapel. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Rortvedt Funeral Services & Crematory.
