David Sewell Obituary

David W. Sewell, 72, of Chrisman, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at his childhood home in Quaker. He was born in Danville, IL on December 14th, 1951, to C. Wayne Sewell and N. Jane Sewell (Chamness). Those preceding David in death are his mother N. Jane Sewell and his sister Nancy J. Strubinger. He is survived by his father C. Wayne Sewell, brother-in-law, R. Wayne Strubinger, niece, Caitlyn Campbell (Strubinger), nephew Jonathon Strubinger, niece-in-law, Charlotte Strubinger, great nephew, Henry Strubinger, and niece, Breanne Strubinger.

David was a farmer, outdoorsman, and strong believer in American values and God. He spent most of his life in nature and instilled a love for the wild in both friends and family. He felt a farmer’s purpose was to provide for our country and ensure no one would go hungry. David loved his family and if you were a part of his life then you were blessed to hear his stories. He was loved and will be missed.

Services will be outdoors at Friends Chapel Cemetery in Chrisman on Saturday March 23rd at 1pm central time.
