Dianna (Dee Dee) L. Rickard

Dianna (Dee Dee) L. Rickard, 62, passed away on March 8,2021, at 3 a.m. in the OSF Heart of Mary Hospital, Danville, Illinois, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Dianna was born on January 20, 1959, to Ronald E. Meyer and Joyce A. Meyer (now both deceased).

Dianna is survived by her fourth husband William (Bill) D. Greer; her children, Toby B. Sirois, Kimberly A. Payan, Calvin J. Rickard; her grandchildren, Bradley B. Sirois, Benjamin A. Sirois, Maria F. Payan, Aleczander J. Payan, Kaelyn E. Payan, Eliot J. Rickard, and Delilah D. Rickard; and William's children, Nicol Gibbs and Christopher Greer.

Dianna had many talents. She was a wonderful cake decorator, a beautifully skilled artist, a patient dog groomer, and a money maker at the flea markets. In Dianna’s earlier years, she honed a talent for cake decorating. As a result, she made a small, side business making beautiful wedding cakes and birthday cakes. During that time, Dianna also worked full-time as a licensed dog groomer at Fluff-N-Groom located in Urbana, Illinois, alongside her mother, best friend, and owner, Joyce Meyer.

Dianna had a wonderful talent in art; she loved to draw and found peace in it. During her later years, she attended Parkland College and excelled in her art class. One of Dianna’s drawings was displayed in the Illini Union Hall; the picture took her many days to complete and is a pure masterpiece.

Also, in her later life, Dianna showed determination helping her father, Ron Meyer, work at flea markets. Dianna enjoyed time with her father and became quite good at the job. There she made many friends who stayed loyal to her during her worst times, offering help and words of encouragement.

Dianna will be greatly missed by family and friends. A celebration of life for her will be held on
April 10, 2021, at 1922 Brownfield Road in Urbana, Illinois, at 12 p.m.
