Don Joseph Hendricks, Jr.

Danville- Don Joseph Hendricks, Jr., 78, of Danville, passed away Friday November 26, 2021, with his family by his side. He first graced this world in Tilton Illinois on July 18th, 1943, as the eldest son of Don and Mary
Marcella Hendricks. 20 years later he married Dianne K Hughes on the 12th, of October 1963 in Tilton. Don’s memory and legacy are carried on by his love, Dianne, two sons David, Dennis and daughter Denise Hendricks, five grandchildren, Evan, Kaylin (Joe) Pratt, Kiersten, Aiden, and Gavin.
Also surviving are six siblings, Nancy Fields, Mary (Larry) Ingalsbe, Tom (Cathy) Hendricks, Jean (Oscar) Lomax, Phyllis (Everett) Rice, and Robert (Kathy) Hendricks. With a special mention to a great niece Heather Urbanski. He is preceded by both parents and a brother, Oliver Dean Hendricks.
He retired from Hyster/NACCO after 40+ years of service. He was an active member with Central Christian Church involving community outreach, mentorship, mission trips, men’s group, and media team. His hobbies were vast and outside of his love to his family included biking, racquet ball,
weightlifting, pickleball, volleyball, “FAST” pitch softball, photography, traveling, carpentry, auto repair, home repair, and consumption of cookies and milk.
“A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. It is the one and only Spirit who distributes these gifts.” With these gifts, Don touched the lives of countless people.
Service: Wednesday December 1st at Central Christian Church in Danville. Visitation will be open to the public from 4-6 p.m. with celebration of life directly following. Family asks memorials and donations be given to Central Christian Church or Faith in Action Community outreach center of Danville
