Donald G. Brooks, 90, of Danville, passed away at 8:19 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville. He was born October 13, 1929 in Danville to Emery and Mildred Brooks. He married Shirley Pierce, she preceded him in death as well as their children, Curtis, Scott and Linda. His daughter Janet (Ron) Brownfield of Decatur, IL survives. He later married Thelma Ford Demmin, she survives along with her children, Pam Craig, Peggy Dabels and Billy Demmin who loved and admired him. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. He was a wonderful grandfather and was loved dearly by Damon, Casey, Amy, Jacey, Heidi, Carly and Bradley.
Don worked for forty-eight years as Press Room Foreman at Interstate Printing. Don and Thelma have gone on many trips together and were best friends. They shopped and ate out together often.
