Elaine B. Rife, 65, of Tilton, passed away at 4:06 a.m. Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born October 3, 1948 in Danville a daughter of Robert and Ada Mae (Schmidt) Barker. She married John E. Rife July 3, 1966 in Danville, he survives. Also surviving are her children, Michelle Hamilton of Decatur, IL, Lisa Young of Greer, South Carolina and John D. (Jeannie Bennett) Rife of Westville, IL. Grandchildren, Lori Ann Hamilton, Ashley Hamilton, Ryan Hamilton, Courtney Young, Kelli Young, John Young, Austin Rife, Braiden Rife, Jaeden Bennett and Jazmyn Bennett and a sister Susan Baker of Bloomington, IL. Elaine attended the United Church of Christ in Danville. She loved spending time with her family. At her request, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of Rortvedt Funeral Services.
