Gerald (Todd) Alcorn, 56, passed away on May 21, 2025, in Urbana, Illinois. Born on December 31, 1968, in Danville, Illinois. Todd lived a life filled with creativity, compassion, and deep connections to those he loved.
Todd was the beloved son of Gerald (Jerry) Alcorn and the late Brenda (Jean) Alcorn. He shared a close bond with his sisters, Angie Alcorn and Jessica Alcorn. He was a devoted uncle to Gino Long and cherished the memory of his late nephew Michael Anthony Alcorn. His lifelong friend Pat Trussel preceded him in death and held a special place in his heart. Todd is also survived by his significant other, Zachary Rosczyk, with whom he shared many meaningful years.
A gifted interior decorator by profession, Todd brought beauty and warmth to every space he touched. His passion for design was matched only by his love for gardening - he found joy in nurturing plants and people. In his younger years swimming was his favorite pastime that reflected his energetic spirit and connection to nature.
One of Todd's most cherished memories was from a vacation to the Virgin Islands where he heroically rescued two young girls caught in a strong current. He often recounted this moment as one of the proudest days of his life - a testament of his courage and selflessness.
Todd cherished times spent with family and friends. He especially enjoyed picking apples and blackberries with his nephew Gino; their tradition of baking Todd's famous apple crisp afterward became a sweet ritual they both looked forward to. His dog daughter Lucy was never far from his side - her companionship brought him endless comfort and joy.
He also found peace walking the trails at Kickapoo State Park, where nature offered him solace and inspiration throughout the seasons.
Todd's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who carry him in their hearts.
According to his wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 2:00 p.m.b - 4:00 p.m. at Tilton Community Center, 612 W. 5th St., Tilton, IL 61833. Online condolences: www.rortvedtfuneralservices.com.
