Glenda Oldani Obituary

Glenda Jo Oldani, of Urbana, IL, passed away at Carle Hospital on October 29th, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born on February 14th, 1950, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of Mary Martha Sherrill Parker and Orville Wayne Parker.

Glenda grew up in Clinton, Indiana and attended Clinton Elementary and High School. She graduated from Danville High School in 1968, where she was very active in the Walther League. Glenda then went on to attend Danville Junior College and received an associates degree. She was raised and baptized in the Lutheran Church and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Terre Haute, Indiana. Glenda married John "Jack" Oldani on December 20th, 1969, in Indiana. She worked in a law office for many years, but Glenda found her true calling to open a daycare it was Oldani Daycare. She loved taking care of children, and that was her true passion. Glenda was an absolute joy to be around. She always made you feel loved and was always caring for others was who she was. She loved Elvis and enjoyed watching videos on YouTube of deer, raccoons, squirrels, and owls. Glenda always loved going back home to Indiana, attending the Covered Bridge Festival, and going to the Smokey Mountains to enjoy the wildlife. She loved baking cookies for neighborhood kids. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Oldani, her parents, a son and her grandparents, Rose Kessner Sherrill and Glenn Sherrill.  

Glenda is survived by her daughters, Heather Brees of Urbana, IL and adopted daughter, Pauline Pruitt of Tolono, IL; grandson, Michael Brees of Urbana, IL, whom she loved dearly; brother, David (Dama) Parker of Oakwood. IL; very special aunt, Aunt Mary Mitchell Sherrill; and cousins, Nancy Sherrill, Freeman Sherrill, Debra Sherrill Miller, Steven Sherrill, and Pam Sherrill.
