Harriett Romoser Obituary

Harriett Ann Romoser, 84. of Ridge Farm IL went home to be with the Lord at Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home on Sunday March 26, 2017 at 5:58am.

Harriett was born December 23, 1932 in Hume IL to Omer and Effie Johnson. Harriett is survived by her husband Dale, of 65 years, her children Donna Moore of Ridge Farm IL, Gary Romoser (Diane) of Ridge Farm IL and Paul Romoser (Amy) of New Palestine IN.  She had 11 grandchildren: Ryan Haase (Heather) Haviland KS, Eric Haase (Tisha) Ridge Farm IL, Brandy Peevler (Ed) Perrysville IN, Jacob Romoser (Mandie) of Ridge Farm IL, Hannah Romoser of Ridge Farm IL, Whitney Denton (Cody) of Chrisman IL, Zach Romoser of West Lafayette IN, Katie Phillabaum (Lee) of McCordsville IN, Alex Romoser of Muncie IN, Maddi Romoser of Saint Joseph IL, Danielle Romoser of New Palestine IN.  The great grandchildren were the apple of her eye: Seth, Olivia, Lacey, Colton, Shelby, Conner, and Bennett.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Omer and Effie Johnson, 12 siblings and her son-in-law, Roger Moore.   She leaves a great heritage with a lot of nieces and nephews. 

 She was a graduate of Young America High School in Hume IL.  Harriett was a long time member of the Ridge Farm Friends Church.  She was involved in the missionary society for 60 years, church choir, and Friendly Builders Sunday School class. Harriett was known for her heart of serving others.  She was a part of the Clover Leaf Farm bowling team for many years and belonged to the Rural Young Married Club, known as the Euchre Club, for 55 years. Harriett loved to read, garden, cook, play pinochle, and spend time with her family.  Her claim to fame was her famous homemade rolls and fresh strawberry pies.

Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation at Ridge Farm Friends Church on April 3rd 2017 from 10:00 am - 12:00pm with the Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00pm.  Burial will be immediately following at the Young America Cemetery in Hume.
