Harvey Edward Robertson, 99, of Danville, passed away early in the morning on 5 July 2026 at the home of his daughter while he was in hospice care in Danville, Illinois. Harvey was born 20 May 1927 to Clarence Edward and Gertrude Nettie (Kinney) Robertson. His wife of 75 years, Elvira Lynn Robertson, preceded him in death. They were married 26 May 1950. He leaves two daughters, Mary Lynn Wright (Scott, deceased) and Candace Joanne Robertson, three grandchildren, Matthew Jordan (Tonya), Mikael Jordan (Kim), and Amanda Ellis (Richard), seven great-grandchildren, Katie Verdugo (Cruz), Jacob Jordan, Shaun Weaver, Alli Jordan, Kaleb Jordan, Alex Edenburn, and Mason Ellis, and two great-great grandchildren, Cruz Verdugo and Dax Verdugo.
Harvey is survived by one brother, Leo Robertson. He was preceded by sisters, Mary, Alberta, Lorene, and Josephine and brothers, Claude, Herman, and Lawrence.
Harvey worked for Quaker Oats in Danville from the early 70's to the mid 90's. Before that he worked at Skelgas in Tilton.
Harvey loved to travel and had visited almost all 50 states, Mexico, and Canada. He could fix anything and loved dogs. He was a hard worker and was always available to help his family. When first married, he taught Elvira to cook. Harvey was the best father anyone could have hoped to have. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. We loved him so much.
At Harvey's adamant request there will be no viewing or funeral service.
