Howard Thomas Rice

Howard Thomas Rice, 88, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 10:03 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024 at The Loft of Rock Springs Rehabilitation in Decatur. He was born July 4, 1936 in Decatur, the son of Hannon Lee and Helen (Alexander) Rice. He is survived by a nephew, Thomas Rice of Decatur. Howard was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois receiving a bachelors degree in energy and environmental studies. He was employed by North Side Realty and General Electric. Howard was an artist. He loved his dogs and enjoyed listening to Jazz. Graveside services for Howard will be at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Graceland Fairlawn Cemetery in Decatur with Pastor Mike Tapscott officiating.
