James Aaron Deal

James Aaron Deal, 45, of Tilton Illinois passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025 at OSF Richard L Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL with his father by his side. James was born on November 5, 1979, in Danville Illinois to Joseph and Bonnie (Wynkoop) Deal. On October 7, 2002, James married Amanda (Contreras) Deal in Covington Indiana they shared decades of a bond and friendship.

Through a lifetime of struggles and battles, James remained a loving father and free spirit who had a good heart with a love for The Graetful Dead. Loved ones surviving and left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amanda Deal, his parents Joseph & Bonnie Deal, two brothers, Clint & Matt Deal, one grandson Rowen Deal, Kathleen Oatis, Gavin & Jonathan, and the three most important people to him his sons, Ethan Deal, Chase Deal, and Axel Von Deal. James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alan & Louise Wynkoop, his uncle Alan James Wynkoop and infant Avaree Deal.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Tilton Community Center located at 612 W 5th street in Tilton IL on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm CST with a service following starting at 5:00pm. We encourage you to come as you are, because that is what James would want.
