Janice Arlene Biggs was born October 31, 1931 to Clifford Reason and Mae Alma (Roth) Allen and passed away March 20, 2020 in Rockford, Illinois.
She graduated in 1950 from Danville High School and married Richard Earl Biggs on August 20, 1950. They enjoyed 68 wonderful years together.
She is survived by daughters Cathy (David) Korwin, Durand, IL, Brenda (Chris) Goodwin, Newport News, VA, Grandchildren Weston Polaski, Bethany (Alex) Mihavics, Andrea Korwin, Carmen Korwin, Casey Stevens (Lou Ann) and Samantha Counts and sister-in-law, Sarah Allen.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Richard, her parents, Clifford and Mae, her sister Lila Roy Hutton and brother Wayne Luther. In 1953, she and Richard transferred to Inland Supply's Chicago Branch and settled in Oak Park, IL. They joined Austin Blvd Christian Church in 1953 where they were both active members. In 1994, they returned to Danville to help Richard’s mother and sister and became members of Central Christian Church.
Janice was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, accomplished seamstress and upholsterer. Her greatest joy was serving our Lord in whatever way she could and was an avid prayer warrior.
Services will be held at Central Christian Church noon on Saturday, August 15. Giving to others was one of Janice’s greatest joys.
