Jason Alan Warnick

Jason Alan Warnick passed away on March 24, 2024, in Danville, Illinois. He was born to Nancy Wait and Jon Warnick on January 24, 1974. 

Jason was a graduate of Rogers Heritage high school in Rogers Arkansas, class of 1992. He went on to join the U.S. Air Force, following in the footsteps of his great uncle Winnie. After his service in the Air Force, Jason went on to serve as an officer in the U.S. Department of State Security and as a Federal Police Officer. Most recently, Jason built a business around laser engraving with a specialty in firearms. 

In 2003, Jason became a proud father to his son, Seth, who was his greatest joy. Always with a photograph and story to share about his sweet boy. He was also a loving uncle to his nieces; Olivia, Avery and Grace and his nephews; Gavin and Xavier. They all remember him as the fun and caring guy he was. 

Jasons siblings: Troy, Justin and Mandy lovingly remember him as a big-hearted guy who never met a stranger. After just a few minutes with his magnetic personality, infectious smile and keen sense of humor, anyone would be fast friends with Jason. 

A protector at heart, Jason cared about his family, country and his community. He devoted much of his life to service in the armed forces and law enforcement. Jason was a tough guy with a massive heart. He touched everyone who knew him through countless acts of generosity, kindness and compassion. 

Jason loved the outdoors. He was an avid sportsman, hunter, fisherman and marksman. He enjoyed collecting fossils, rocks, firearms and knives. He loved animals, mushroom hunting and stargazing. Jason also enjoyed riding his beloved motorcycle, especially to the many state parks he grew up visiting. 

Those lucky to know Jason well might have a little smile while remembering his commitment to personal hygiene, hydration and rest. Jason was a man of frequent showers, daily skin care and was never without his enormous bottle of water. He was also dedicated to getting plenty of sleep, no matter who might be waiting on him. It is comforting to know that Jason is now fully resting in peace. 

A burial service with full military honors will take place on August 19th at 11am at Danville National Cemetery. 

Jason’s presence will be profoundly missed, but his memory will continue to be a beacon of warmth and joy for all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a very loved man.
