Jo Lynn McMahon, née Braddy, affectionately known as Jo Mama, passed away on June 24, 2024, in Danville, IL, at the age of 75. Born on June 6, 1949, in Aurora, IL, Jo's life was marked by her tenacity, loving spirit, and feisty demeanor. She was a beacon of joy, often noted for her ability to create a family atmosphere wherever she went.
Jo is survived by her son, Tommie McMahon (Jodi), and daughter, Dana Jo Talbot. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Thaylar McMahon, Jacob McMahon, Ashley Coffman, Logan Coffman, and her great-grandson, Zander Coffman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emroy and Uki Braddy, and her cherished husband, Thomas McMahon.
Known for her infectious smile and warm embrace, Jo was a fixture at Rosie's Tavern, where she spent many joyful Tuesdays with friends. Her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
In accordance with her wishes, Jo was cremated. A celebration of her life is scheduled to take place at Rosie's Tavern at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and the indelible mark she left on their lives. She will be interred with her husband at the VA National Cemetery in Danville, IL.
