John E. Gaines, 69, passed away at 12:11 AM, Thursday November 27, 2025 at Carle Hospital, Urbana.
John was born in Champaign, IL on June 1, 1956, to parents, Earl Jr and Claribell Gaines.
He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Gloria Cline of Phoenix, AZ; and his younger brother, Frank Gaines of Fithian.
John is survived by his mother, Claribell Irvin of Urbana; brother, Vic Gaines of Cloquet, MN; and sister, Denise (Chuck] Chesnut of Ogden.
There will be a private family service held at a later date.
