Jonathon Connor Gilbert, 24, was born May 10, 1998, in Danville, IL. Jonathon passed from this life unexpectedly & tragically on Dec. 19, 2022, at 12:45am in Danville, IL.
He was loved & cherished by many, including his father, William Gilbert, and mother, April Gilbert, his brothers, Kristian (Lynn) Gilbert, Raymond Gilbert, and his nephews, Oliver & Louie Gilbert.
Jonathon was adopted into the family with love in 2008. He will be missed by his grandmothers, Ruth Staley & Lucy Rutan and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William H. Gilbert, David Staley, and Carl Rutan.
Jonathon is survived by his biological mother, Misty Johnson and biological father, John Troxal Sr. both of Danville, IL. He will be missed by his siblings, Samantha & Kate Meeker, Blaze & Angel Hayes, Serenity & Logan Hunt, and
Dustin & Megara Troxal and stepmother Brandi Pickett. He is survived by his grandfather, and aunts, uncles & cousins. He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Debbie Meeker and aunt Hayley Haga, paternal grandparents, Yolanda England, and John Parker Troxal, and paternal aunt Rhonda Brannin
Jonathon loved being active in sports. He found a love for baseball and football and enjoyed swimming & fishing. He was also part of the Boy Scouts with the church. Jonathon loved animals and dreamed of being a Marine Biologist.
Jonathon was loyal to everyone he held close. If you were lucky enough to be in his inner circle, he would always have your back.
