Joseph Francis Lawyer, 81, of Danville, passed at 2:08 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

  Joseph was born July 20,1940 in Danville, Illinois the son of James Louis and Myrtle Marie Sasseen Lawyer.

  He married Rose Marie Cooper Sept.18, 1984, in Danville, Illinois. She survives.

 Also surviving two daughters, Loretta (Dean) Williams of Danville, April LeCloux (Brian) Thoma of Danville, one stepson Stephen (Charlotte) Cooper Of Westville. One sister Josephine Oaks and one brother Tommy Lawyer both of Danville, still survive as well.

 Eight grandchildren Sariya, Kira, Trinity Etchison, James, Devin, Augie Cooper, Daniel LeCloux & Anna Thoma, All survive.

 As well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, also survive.

  He was also preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.

  He lived his life to the fullest,he enjoyed the outside ,fishing, dunking and just all-around being a handyman. He will be sadly missed and always loved.   In his younger years he enjoyed being on the CB known as (Lil hammer).
