Joyce Arlene Lazzell, 93, of Tilton, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024. She was born March 13, 1931, in Danville, Illinois to the late Louis and Anna (Goff).
Joyce is Survived by her daughter Karyn Conder, grandchildren Amy (Justin) Zarn and Chad (Mandy) Alvarez, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Special caregivers Pammy Joe and Taylor. Along with her furry friend Rosco.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Allen (Betty) Goff, Louis Jr. Goff, and Victor Goff, former husband Ralph Lazzell, grandchild Derric Alvarez, and her lifelong best friend/cousin Marcella Thompson.
Joyce’s favorite activities were going bowling, playing poker, and playing bunco. Every Saturday before Joyce and Marcella retired, they would go shopping and then go to dinner together. Once they both retired, they decided that needed to be at least three days a week instead of just once. Joyce is known for being very active in her family’s lives anywhere from visiting or babysitting grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always enjoyed their presence.

Rortvedt Funeral Services and Crematory in Tilton is honored to carry out her wishes of providing cremation rites.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61832. Memorial Service to follow at 2:30 p.m. Burial to take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 3901 N. Vermillion St., Danville, Illinois 61834, with Pastor Jay officiating.
