Joyce Riggle Obituary
Joyce Ann Sturgeon Nichols Richards Riggle, 63, of Danville went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 22nd, 2019. She was born February 14, 1956 in Danville, the daughter of William and Barbara (Dashington) Sturgeon, whom have both preceded her in death.
Joyce attended Danville High School and had worked as a maid for several years at a few of the area's local motels. She loved bowling, knitting, and collecting porcelain dolls. She dearly loved her oldest son, Mike Nichols (of Westville), who lovingly cared for her during the last year of her life.
In addition to her son Mike, she is survived by her son Alvin Lee Nichols of Boston, MA; daughter Barbara Richards of Danville; and son Jimmy Richards of Florida. She has 4 grandchildren: Ashley Scudder, Zachary Luttrell, Logan Nichols, and Hayden Nichols. She has one great grandchild.
Joyce is also survived by her loving sisters Judy Sturgeon and Leona (Rick) Moss, both of Danville who were with her when she passed, sisters Karen (Dennis) Scott of Fulshear, TX, Mary Kay (Charles) Hill of San Diego, CA and brother Tony Sturgeon of Jacksonville, FL. She has many nieces and nephews.
Cremation rites will be accorded by Rortvedt Crematory and a celebration of her life will be held on Friday April 26 at 11:00 am at Christ Way Church, 618 East Main Street, Danville. Pastor Doug Knapp officiating. Internment of her remains will be at Songer Cemetery, Tilton. No graveside services
