Kevin Dwight Hogarth, 61, of Danville, formerly of Clinton, Indiana, passed away at 8:51 a.m. Monday, December 25, 2023, at VA Illiana Healthcare System, Danville, Illinois.
Kevin was born in Winston Salem North Carolina on September 16, 1962, to the late Walter J Hogarth and Edna (Crockett) Hogarth. He was preceded in death by his sister Janis and his brother Jim.
Kevin joined the Marines at the age of 17. He worked as a journeyman carpenter most of his life. Later in life he attended Indiana State University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Kevin is survived by his longtime partner, Barbara Gunderman, his sisters; Karen Umbarger, Helen (Bob) Lippincott, his brothers, Walter "Clipper" (Jeri Lee) Hogarth, Scott (Kris) Hogarth and several nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed!
Graveside services for Kevin will be at 1:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Danville National Cemetery. Mary Beth Mullen will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 210. Escort will be provided by Patriot Guard Riders. Rortvedt Funeral Services & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
