Kyle Dewayne Alexander Jackson

Kyle Dewayne Alexander Jackson, lovingly known as “Doya Son”, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Danville, IL, on May 10, 2026, at the age of 29. Kyle was born on May 30, 1996, in Danville, IL, the beloved son of Penny Wells and Melvin Jackson.

He was a 2016 graduate of Danville High School. Kyle was known for his kind heart, loyalty to those he loved, and the way he made friends feel like family. One of his closest friends, Reece Imler was like a brother to him. Kyle shared many strong bonds and friendships throughout his life.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing baseball as a child, fishing, door dashing, listening to music and sharing beats with Reece. He will be remembered for his laughter, his love for those around him, and the memories he created with everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, Kyle’s spirit and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Jackson; grandparents, Judith and Monty Foley and Roberta Davis; niece, Madison Baker; uncle, Paul Tevebaugh; aunt, Grace Hollingsworth; cousin, Charlie Morgan; and good friend, Zach Martin.

He is survived by his mother, Penny Wells; siblings, Brad (Tisha) Shaw, Tiffany (Cody) Perez, and Daniel Jackson; cherished nephews, Issac Perez and Brayden Perez; great nephews, Jaxon Williams and Kyler Carswell; nieces, Abigail Williams, Arianna Baker, Brooklynn Shaw, and Aurora Perez; great niece, Evie Adams; grandfather, Larry (Shirley) Wells; aunt, Debbie Tevebaugh; and several other aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Second Church of Christ, 3350 E. Voorhees St. Danville, IL.
