Leo Wilson, 54, of Danville, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville. He was born November 13,1968, in Danville, Illinois to Paul Wilson Sr. and Carol Jean Jenkins-Wilson. He graduated from Westville High School in 1988. He served in the Army National Guard from June 1987 to March 1994. He was an M-16 and grenade marksman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul E. Wilson Sr. and Carol Jean Jenkins-Wilson, his grandfather, Walter C. Jenkins, a sister, Beverly Kochell a nephew Matthew Brannin. Survivors include his daughters, Samantha Jo Glouser, Jennifer Leigh Glouser-Wilson and Brooke Glouser, brother-in-law, Robert F. Kochell, siblings, Walter E. Jenkins, Paul E. Wilson, Deborah (Randy) Brannin, Granddaughters Pasleigh Grace Glouser and Zaeleigh Jean-Jane Glouser, Step-grandchildren, Conner Ryan and Breanna Ryan.
Leo's immediate circle was small. He had five very close friends, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He enjoyed playing & spending time with his grandchildren, fur babies, video games and telling stories.
There will be a celebration of life for him on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Vermilion Valley Vineyard. There will be a potluck, so please bring a covered dish, (Not Mandatory).
