Lila Frances (Killbury) Gombert

Lila F. (Kilbury) " Pete" Gombert 84, from Danville IL, for the past 24 years she lived in Florida, went to the Lord on Tuesday January 7th, 2020. Graveside service will be at Danville National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2020 with Pastor Anita Livengood officiating. She was born May 21 1935 in Oakwood to Roy F. And Frances (Lanham) Kilbury. She attended Oakwood High School. Lila was a wonderful mother and wife. She loved to travel, play bingo and knit. She was a member of the V.F.W Post 728 Ladies Auxiliary. Lila was married to William J. Gombert on January 4th 1954 and the two shared 41 years of marriage before his death in 1995. Survivors include 4 children, Robin Potts, Kay (Keddy) Swinford, Billy Joe Gombert, and Kevin Gombert. Grandchildren Jeremy Desgagne, Alisha (Sean) Mitchell, Amanda (Wade) Collins, Justin (Kayla) Blundy, April (Jason) Gerrib, Aaron ( Angie) Swinford, Sarah  (Chris) Blackwell, Lance Gombert, Heidi (Amber) Beasley, Seaira Allison, great-grandchildren, Caden Collins, Bryson Collins, Everett Collins, Landen Blundy, Layne Blundy, Jaxon Gerrib,  Carson Gerrib, Kaein Swinford, Kihlan Swinford, Bryleeah Swinford, Elizabeth Stewart, Zayleigh Gombert, Jaxton Gombert,  Breanna Curley, Cash Beasley, Jaice Hopkins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Sadie Kimmell. Memorials may be made in Lila's name to the Church of The Holy Spirit 129 South Tamiami Trail, Osprey Florida 34229.
