Linda D. (Johnson) Calloway, 69, of Danville, passed away at 6:23 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2021, at home. She was born August 15, 1951, to William “Bud” and Pauline (Howard) Johnson in Westville, IL. She is survived by a son; David Sutton, a daughter; Tammy (Denny) Spencer, four grandchildren; John (Christine) Rice, Jesse Sutton, Chase Amos and Katie Amos, three step-grandchildren; Kayla, Corwin and Brady two adopted grandchildren; Isabella and Edward three great-grandchildren; Johnny, Layla and Caydon Rice a sister; Paula (Jerry) Haskins, a brother; Frank Nelson, Jr., two step-sisters; Mary-Ann Acord and Carolyn Whetston, several nieces and nephews, a very special cousin (like a sister); Kathy Cooper, her beloved fur baby Kita and many loved ones that called her mom and grandma.
She was preceded in death by her father; William, her mother; Pauline and dad Frank Nelson Sr., two brothers; David Howard, Charlie Johnson, a sister; Pat Nollett, a nephew; Christopher Miller and a very special friend; Royal (Frosty) Letch.
She was a proud member of ABATE and LOVED to ride her motorcycle. She also loved our country and was a true patriot. She started work at Crosspoint in 2003, retired from there and worked as an in-home care provider for twenty-three years before that. She loved her family and friends dearly and missed them just as much.
A celebration of life will begin at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Crossroads Christian Church 3613 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, IL 61832.
