Linda Lou Lee Gerbsch, Deeter aka Grandma Bump
On Friday July 1,2022 Linda gained her angels wings and is now flying free of Dementia, she is no longer trapped in a world unfamiliar to her.
Linda was full of spunk, energy, fun and Love. Sharing the love and fun was so easy for her. She touched everyone’s lives that she came into contact with that Love. In the past year we have only seen glimpses of that, fun and energy. Dementia robbed her of her essence and robbed family and friends of all that she was. Dementia had rudely changed so many things for her that she did not understand. For us the longing for her as she once was.
Linda was born on March 29, 1936 to her parents John and Mildred Lee.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her only brother Jack Lee, Husband Roy Gerbsch and Don Deeter. Most recently this time last year she lost a daughter Kathy Dokey. She is survived by Cyndy Nicholson (Ron), Chuck Rebman, and Tamara Grubbs (Steven). Also surviving are 4 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great grandchildren.
Linda was a doer and always exploring new activities ie; Knitting, Herbalism, Genealogy, and any thing to do with a horse. The project that she was most proud of were her writings of sort stories and poetry. She was published many times. But the most significant piece was a poem that she won awards for, Rainbow Love.
Rainbow Love
Rainbows’ color gold and blue,
the colors bright, calling to you.
Calling for Peace on a calm blue day,
look the rainbows way.
Join the rainbow while it stays
Away from the world’s hurried day.
Reach out and touch a passer-by,
Share the rainbow before you die.
Take the time to look and see,
The rainbow beauty surrounding me.
Filling me with love on this bright calm day.
Share it with someone before it goes away.
When it goes let the peace remain,
The love to be shared on each new day.
The rainbows colors will ease the pain,
Make a rainbow of love through your day.
