Lois (Townsend) Boswell

Lois (Townsend) Boswell, 81, of Tilton, IL, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 26, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Lois was born October 16, 1943, to Robert and Mary (Salts) Townsend, of Covington, IN. She grew up in Indiana but lived her entire adulthood in Tilton IL.

Lois is survived by her husband of 65 years, Paul Boswell, Sr. She is also survived by her children, Sharleen (Stuart) Sanders, Marcus Boswell, (Michelle Billimgsby), Tony Boswell, Joyce (Tom) Duesterhoft, Paul Boswell, Jr. (Tia Hoover) and Chris Boswell (Rose Swan) and many grandchildren & great grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Townsend, Rufus Boswell and Mary Zimmerman. as well as her 16 siblings and very special grandchildren, Canus Boswell and Troy Duesterhoft.  Lois's greatest joy was being a homemaker and a CNA caring for the elderly. She was a small woman, but her heart was too big to hold. She never met a stranger; she was fearless and a strong woman. She had a life of health issues, but you never knew it because of the strength she had. She had dementia yet never forgot who God was. She was funnier than she knew. Lois will be dearly missed by the love of her life, her soul mate, Paul. She loved her Callie and Pixie dogs. She loved drinking her coffee with her kids every chance she got.
