Margaret Mary Lorey Leader Searing

Margaret Mary Lorey Leader Searing, 94 of Danville, IL. peacefully passed away on March 22, 2022

Born on November 29, 1927, in Detroit, MI. to Frank Lorey and Lillian (Cantwell) Lorey. Her Aunt "Lizzie" (Elizabeth Cantwell) stepped in to help raise her when her mother was killed in a car accident when she was a baby. When her father remarried, she was raised by her father and stepmother, Frances (Carr) Lorey. 

Known as Marge by most and formerly of Hemet, CA. she moved to Westville, IL. 10 years ago to be near her son David Leader. She formerly worked as a manager at Cirvello's Restaurant in Long Beach, CA. from where she retired.  She loved to sing at church and enjoyed music from the 20's and 30's, Exercise was a passion of hers and would run circles around the ladies in the complex where she lived in CA. and helped orchestrate and run the exercise classes there, she really enjoyed helping her friend Bill Carter with his exercise classes at Faith in Action South in Westville. She was a avid cat and dog lover. 

She was preceded in death by her Mother; Lillian (Cantwell) Lorey, Father: Frank Lorey, Step-Mother: Frances (Carr) Lorey, Son: Matthew (Cheryl) Leader, Brothers: Robert (Sharon) Lorey, Donald (Dolores) Lorey, Sisters: Dorothy (Ken) Furman, Josephine Lorey, Her former husband Elmer E. Leader

She is survived by: Three Sons; David (Patti) Leader of Westville, IL., Raymond (Anna) Leader of Ripon, CA., Alan (Louise) Leader of Hemet, CA., 5 Grandchildren: Sara (Gary) Thomas, Daniel (Casey) Leader, Valerie (Andy) Bojarski, Raymond (Christina) Leader Jr., Sherrie Fiore., 8 Great-Grandchildren: Kyle Fortner, Kaitlin McDonald, Makenzie High, Julia Leader, Michael Bojarski, Sophia Bojarski, Archer Leader, Savannah Leader., 3 Great-Great Grandchildren: Brianne Lamar, Gabriel Asbury, Daxtyn Davis.16 Nieces and Nephews, 2 close Nieces: Kathleen McPherson and Barbara Wabich.

Per her wishes she was cremated, no services were to be held. A memorial get together may be held at a later date.

The Family wants to thank her close friend Judy (Irvin) Story, her many friends and caregivers who helped her over the last couple of years at Bowman Estates Assisted Living and Liberty Estates Hawthorne Rehab and Long-Term Care.
