Marilyn Aline Lowe, 87, of Danville, Illinois passed away at 7:10 p.m. Monday October 17th 2022 at Carle Hospital, Urbana, Illinois.
She was born on September 14, 1935 in Hoopeston, Illinois the daughter of William and Rosa (Honey) Dilley. She married her high school sweetheart Jack Lowe on May 30, 1953, being married 68 years until his death December 17, 2021.
She leaves behind six children: Jack Jr.(Diana) Lowe, Terry Lowe, Mike (Tina) Lowe, Cindy (Jerry) Young, Gail ( Mark) Richardson, and Tim Lowe; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters Beverly DeWitt of Tennessee and Judie Albertson of Georgia; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Marilyn Aline is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Phyllis Bezely; and a granddaughter, Marisa Lowe.
Marilyn graduated from Rossville-Alvin High School in 1953. She was a stay at home mom while she and Jack raised their children. Later, she had a house-cleaning business and worked at Walmart in Danville for many years. She liked to camp in her younger days and take trails at various parks. She loved to take family pictures at gatherings and thus she has many albums and boxes of photos.
Marilyn Aline was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on September 14, 1957 in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She attended the Kingdom Hall in Danville.
A Memorial talk will be given on Saturday November 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Illinois time at the Kingdom Hall 619 E. Voorhees Street, Danville, Illinois.
There will also be zoom numbers for those who can't attend in person. You may request that information from the family.
