Marilyn Jane Parrish, 87, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, February 16th at home.
Marilyn was born December 21, 1938 in Oakwood, Illinois.
She was the daughter of Vernon and Faith (Cole) Erwin.
Marilyn was married to Raymond Parrish on December 14th, 1954 in Covington, Indiana.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Erwin, Marion Lumsargis, and Lona Reed, and her brothers, Denny Erwin and Jerry Erwin.
She is survived by one sister, Carlia (Tony) Wade of Oakwood.
Marilyn’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her children: Ray (Vickie) Parrish, Kerrie (Alan) Sexton, Mike (Candy) Parrish, and Jason (Bobbi) Parrish. She was a proud grandmother to Luke Parrish, Lacey (Ty) Boen, Dixie Sexton, Dylan Parrish, and Payton Parrish, and great-grandmother to Kelby Boen, Pyper Boen, and Bryer Parrish.
She was an avid reader and talented quilter. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord.
A memorial service will be at Muncie Baptist Church on Monday, February 23rd from 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a private burial service at Stearns Cemetery in Fithian, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marilyn’s Village in Covington, Indiana, or the Oakwood Public Library.
