Mark Kent Loy

Mark Kent Loy, 63, of Mattoon, IL began his eternal sleep the morning of July 1, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital following a significant stroke 48 hours prior.

Mark is survived in death by his wife, Pam (Schoonover),
daughter, Andrea (Jeff) Bean,
grandchildren, Jadyn and Mason,
bonus sons: Chris Zigler, Jon (Nikki) Wilson, Casen Flanagan, Christopher Flanagan, and Dakota Keller,
Brothers: Clifford, Randy, Steven (Chung A), Fred (Patte), Robert (Nancy),
along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Georgia Utley and William F Loy, a brother, Terry and sisters Karen and Dorothy.

"Stay close to the people who feel like sunshine".
To many people, Mark was like their sunshine, along with an occasional sighting of "the moon".

Mark was a loving husband of 31 years to Pam. He was great man loved by all who knew him. Mark loved to have a good time, joke and make others smile. His family was his everything, and that included puppies, grandpuppies and his friends too. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, or ear, if anyone needed it.

Memorial celebration to be scheduled at a later date.
