Mark A Taylor, 61, of Hoopeston, passed away May 18, 2024 at Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital. He was born June 14, 1962 to Audra and Cheryl Taylor in Danville, IL.
He was a Free Methodist pastor for 30 years, starting in Evanston, IL establishing a food pantry there. He was a very good son, a father, a counselor, dog lover (especially his dog Elvis) and a Navy veteran. He was a church planter and a published author of two books. He enjoyed traveling and helping repair broken people and things, playing cards, playing guitar, and gathering with family, especially during the holidays.
He married Diane VanWinkle in Galesburg, IL and later married Gail. He is survived by his sister Lori, mother Cheryl several nieces, nephews and grandchildren and life-long friend Harold Britt.
