Mary Ellen Sollars

Mary Ellen Sollars, 78, of Danville, passed away December 19, 2023, in Danville, IL, surrounded by loved ones. 

Mary was born on May 11, 1945, in Danville, IL to Emerson and Rachel Sollars.

Mary had four sisters and two brothers, Marietta (Barney) Hance, Celia (Tom) Heath, Theresa Sollars, Patricia Sollars, Paul (Alice) Sollars and Emerson (Marla) Sollars.

 She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and both brothers. 

Over the years, Mary worked as a switchboard operator for 50 years until retirement. 

Mary enjoyed crafting, reading and writing down all recipes. Mostly, she loved her family.

Mary raised a special niece and nephew, Thor Sollars and Davida (Ron) Kidwell. She is survived by special nieces Nicole and Katie Edwards.  Actually, Mary had so many special nieces and nephews. She loved her great niece and nephew dearly Annleigh and Denver Kidwell.

A celebration of life will be at a later date in May.
