Mary Catherine Van Bogart, 100, of Danville, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. Mary was born August 17, 1920 in Westville to Andrew J. and Anna (Kotun) Mayoras. She married Robert S. Van Bogart June 8, 1960, he preceded her in death April 16, 1989. She is survived by 2 sisters, Catherine Jumps and Frances Krevalis. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Michael, Andrew, her twin brother, John and 3 sisters, Anna, Josephine and Theresa.
Mary graduated from Westville High School and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. She served in the Army Nurse Corps from 1943 to 1946. She retired from the V. A. Medical Center in 1975. Mary was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Elizabeth Nurses Alumni. She was a volunteer at the former St. Elizabeth Hospital and later United Samaritans Medical Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 30 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Fr. Steven Loftus officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
